Policy Paper: Providing Safety and Security to Elections and Election Workers

This is a policy paper describing actions lawmakers can take to protect election officials, staff and poll workers. It recommends state funding for security measures; privacy exemptions allowing election workers from keep their personal information private; updating harassment/ intimidation statutes to explicitly address election workers; and establishing a data repository on harassment incidents to promote better understanding of the risks.
